Dare To Innovate (Founder's Story) earlier tonight. before uhm .. any "silly" photos of me start popping up online, figured i'd post some "sane" shots first, off my own mobile, ft Luisa.

there's a shot of me going "look at my sneakers" from Caitlin but i'll let her post that first. and yeah. i finally got to meet Caitlin in person!

the event itself was actually pretty good, overall. we got to hear from Ryan Liebregts and Dre Siwela on their start up story, which resonated pretty close to my own experience. but it was the networking component - the bit i usually hate - that was surprisingly enjoyable for me.

sure there were the familiar Curtin Alumni peeps that made me feel comfortable .. but i got to meet some new faces who looked rapt enough hearing me share my own experiences and advice.

also dropped tidbits on the Because They Dare appeal .. and well, took more "silly" shots which may (or may not) be used as marketing material </grins> to those i spoke with - here's the link to find out more, and help support the cause.
