i was a simulated patient for the Curtin School of Nursing practice students today. roleplayed as a 64 year old Mrs Janet, divorced, two adult daughters, history of diabetes, don't feel like eating, and .. quote unquote, struggles to shit.

it was actually quite fun, even though it was my "down day" today. i did try to lighten the mood with some jokes and once or twice pretending to go "ouch" while the students were poking me .. cos some of them were really nervous, and i figured i should try to at least help them feel comfortable.

next session i'm apparently to put on like a "stoma belt" maybe? looking forward to it!
