being myself

being myself | Rizal Farok

for over a decade, i've had to watch how i conduct myself .. in the office or at events. being around my team, or with stakeholders. but that's not to say i wasn't being true to who i am. as i commented on Luisa's post yesterday, there's levels to it, and it's all about balance.

but since those days, i'm now usually at the "higher settings" level at most events i'm at. i deliberately chose to attend such events, where i know i don't have to "control" myself too much. i basically get to "let my hair down" so much more than before .. but still keeping professional.

like at this Dare To Innovate event from two weeks ago, where i enjoy posing for such photos. and especially at the Curtin Graduation ceremonies that most who follow me, will know about .. where my "antics" are all part of the fun.

i get to be at almost the max level of being the "real" me.

but i'm still me though, at events like the recent Dare To Advocate, or when i'm catching up with the current capstone students i've taken on .. more serious, still me, but with the "craziness" dialled down.

so yeah. go ahead. always be yourself .. but be respectful, and find a balance.

anyways. Because They Dare .. help me do your part and support or assist where you can! more details on the website
